There are five GR (“Grande Randonnée”) trails in the Lubéron:
-GR 6: by Oppédette, Saint Saturnin lès Apt, Gordes. This GR trail goes across the Lubéron east to west and goes through “Monts de Vaucluse” following “faille des ocres” (fault), the Gignac “ocres” quarry, Colorado Provençal, Gargas and Roussillon.
-GR 9: by Monieux, Villars, Apt, Vaugines. Downhill from Mont Ventoux, the GR 9 crosses Monts de Vaucluse, then the Calavon valley, before going across the Lubéron mountain by Apt, via the “sentier de la pierre” and the Aiguebrun valley.
-GR 92: by Saignon and Mourre-Nègre, a variation of the GR 9. This trail follows the ridge of the Lubéron to its 1 125 meters summit.
-GR 4: by Oppédette, Sault, Malaucène. The GR 4 goes up to Mont Ventoux via the canyon of Oppédette , from the surrounding area of Apt and its “lavandin” to the surrounding area of Sault and its “lavande fine” (genuine lavender).
-GR 97: grand tour of the Lubéron. Hikers can go from one end of the Lubéron to the other in eight to ten days, thanks to pre-established sections.
-GR 653D: St Jacques de Compostelle trail, for pilgrims and hikers who wish to travel from Montgenèvre to Arles, following the Via Domitia. (www.compostelle-paca-corse.info)
